Hi, I'm Cesar. I live in Vancouver, BC, and I've been cooking Italian food at home for over ten years — not in a restaurant, just in my own kitchen in Kitsilano. What started as a way to feed myself turned into a real passion: pasta from scratch, focaccia, simple salads, and big pots of minestrone.

I'm not a professional chef. I'm a home cook who loves the way Italian cooking focuses on good ingredients and straightforward techniques. No fancy equipment, no long lists of steps — just honest, tasty food that you can actually make on a weeknight.

On this blog I share the recipes I make again and again: the aglio e olio I make when I'm tired, the focaccia I'm proud of, and the caprese I make when tomatoes are at their best. I also sell a recipe ebook and run small online cooking workshops for people who want to learn the basics of Italian home cooking.
