Caprese Salad
Tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil with a little balsamic. Use the best tomatoes and mozzarella you can find — that's the whole secret.
Ingredients
- 4–5 ripe tomatoes, sliced
- 200 g fresh mozzarella, sliced
- Fresh basil leaves
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Balsamic vinegar
- Salt and black pepper
Method
- Arrange tomato and mozzarella slices on a platter, alternating and overlapping. Tuck basil between slices.
- Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic. Season with salt and pepper. Serve at room temperature.
